GIVING TUESDAY

Your help makes tomorrow’s archaeological discovery possible. As an archaeologist and Executive Director of The Sphinx Foundation for Archaeological Research (SFAR), I wanted to create a charitable entity that addresses the funding deficit that threatens the future of American scholarship.  SFAR is a Chicago-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides funding and support for archaeological research and fieldwork projects that further our understanding of the Egyptian past, a shared part of our human legacy.  The foundation partners with universities, museums, research institutes, and other leading nonprofits to further such endeavors.

We are extremely proud of the work accomplished by these ongoing archaeological projects receiving funding from SFAR; however, there is so much more work to be done. 

With your support, the work of these archaeological missions and other similar projects will continue unimpeded, allowing for new discoveries, along with preservation and protection of sites at risk from encroachment and threat of destruction from environmental…
